Industrial Cybersecurity Portfolio Expert

About the role

As an Industrial Cybersecurity Portfolio Expert you will safeguard Siemens Energy’s products, solutions and customers. You will assess cyber‑risk, define security baselines and drive the adoption of advanced security technologies across industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the energy threat landscape and provide expert guidance to business units.
• Evaluate external cybersecurity service providers and issue technical recommendations.
• Define a technical security baseline for the portfolio, covering network architecture, log aggregation, user management, SIEM, host‑based protection, IDS and anomaly detection.
• Develop and document security concepts and guidelines for solutions.
• Implement proof‑of‑concepts of security technologies for industrial domains.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on security technology integration.
• Work closely with the global security core team and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Advance professional expertise through training and certifications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Automation, Cybersecurity, Electronics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control system components and industrial protocols.
• Good understanding of IT security principles (CIA, defense‑in‑depth, network zones, hardening).
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, including command‑line usage.
• Fluent English; ability to work in an international environment.
