International Finance Operations Specialist (German Language)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Operations Specialist who will manage day‑to‑day finance processes for our German‑ and Austrian‑based entities while supporting the broader international finance network of SMG. Based in Serbia, you will act as the main liaison with external accounting partners and coordinate Group Accounting requirements across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily finance operations for Germany and Austria, including invoice review, cost allocation and contract administration.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities such as accrual preparation, financial statement review and reporting.
• Serve as the primary finance contact for external accounting firms and ensure timely execution of Group Accounting tasks.
• Coordinate inter‑company reconciliations, transfer‑pricing documentation, loan agreements and interest calculations.
• Assist with Group Internal Control System implementation and maintain consistent finance processes across entities.
• Provide finance support for the Serbian entity, covering invoicing, payments, audits and ESG reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, controlling or audit within a multi‑entity environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, AR/AP, accruals and month‑end closing.
• Experience coordinating finance activities across teams or entities and working with group reporting or consolidation tools.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets for financial data analysis.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with financial reporting systems such as LucaNet or similar.
