Junior Java Developer – Kragujevac

About the role

TransPerfect is expanding its development hub in Kragujevac and is looking for a Junior Java Developer to help build and maintain web‑based localization platforms used by thousands of users worldwide. You will work in a fast‑paced, innovative team that turns prototypes into production‑grade services.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and testable Java code for core applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers and product teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance functionality.
• Participate in code reviews to continuously improve coding standards.
• Investigate and resolve production bugs to maintain system stability.
• Leverage AI and large‑language‑model tools to assist with coding, debugging, and documentation.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional Java development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Serbian.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Java (core language, OOP, Collections, Concurrency).
• Version control with Git.
• Build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Spring Boot and RESTful API development (preferred).
• HTTP clients and authentication mechanisms (Basic Auth, OAuth, API Keys).
• SQL and/or NoSQL database querying.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment concepts.
• AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
