Logistics Planning Expert

About the role

METRO is seeking a Logistics Planning Expert who combines strong data analysis with an end‑to‑end supply‑chain mindset. In this position you will turn insights into actionable recommendations that improve planning processes, inventory health, and overall supply‑chain performance across the Serbian market.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze end‑to‑end supply‑chain performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as Stock Days, Inventory Value, Product Availability, Overstock, Aging Inventory, Supplier Performance, and Ordering Efficiency.
• Translate data and analysis into actionable recommendations for demand planning, supply planning, import, supplier collaboration, and operations excellence.
• Optimize ordering and replenishment processes by evaluating order frequency, quantities, delivery schedules, minimum order quantities, and stock parameters.
• Identify risks related to stockouts, excess inventory, slow‑moving or aging products and propose preventive actions.
• Develop business cases focused on cost‑to‑serve reduction, working‑capital improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Connect supply‑chain insights across import, demand planning, supply planning, supplier collaboration, warehouse operations, and stores.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and performance reviews to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• End‑to‑end supply‑chain perspective and understanding of how planning decisions impact inventory, costs, and customer service.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can perform root‑cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.
• Excellent communication skills to translate insights into clear recommendations for cross‑functional teams.
