Maintenance Equipment Engineer

About the role

COFICAB is seeking a Maintenance Equipment Engineer to develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance policies for its automotive cable and wire production lines. You will ensure equipment availability, support the maintenance team on complex failures, and drive continuous improvement within budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance policies, checklists, and FMEA documentation.
• Monitor work requests, prioritize schedules, allocate resources, and supervise preventive and corrective interventions.
• Provide on‑site diagnostic support for critical equipment failures, including troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Inspect intervention quality, verify records, and ensure data accuracy in the CMMS system.
• Analyze repetitive failures, calculate spare‑parts needs, and manage spare‑parts repair processes.
• Review maintenance KPIs and define continuous‑improvement plans aligned with departmental and company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Quality and EHS system requirements.

Required profile

• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and lead problem‑solving workshops.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using CMMS platforms.
• Knowledge of FMEA methodology.
• Competence in preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance processes.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
