About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department of Niva d.o.o., a historic manufacturer of medical supplies located in Žabalj, Serbia. The role ensures safe, uninterrupted operation of machinery, installations and energy systems across all production sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electricians, chief technical operators, technical operators and general maintenance staff in all plants.
• Ensure continuous and safe operation of machines, installations and energy systems.
• Participate in planning and procurement of new equipment, machines and systems.
• Analyze existing equipment, propose and implement improvements to increase production efficiency.
• Plan and organize training and professional development for maintenance personnel.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and an annual maintenance plan covering machines, electricity and gas consumption.
• Maintain records, coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety and quality regulations.
• Collaborate with production managers and other departments to align maintenance activities with production needs.

Required profile

• Higher education in Mechanical Engineering (VI/VII level, VŠS, FTN).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance management role.
• Strong knowledge of production processes.
• Reliability, accuracy, analytical mindset and independent work style.
• Developed organizational and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Preferable knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Intermediate English (B1/B2) is a plus.
