Microsoft 365 & Identity Administrator

About the role

The Microsoft 365 & Identity Administrator will manage and improve Valvoline Global’s directory services and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms. This senior‑level position handles escalated issues, automates routine tasks, and works closely with IT Security, Infrastructure, Service Desk, and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot on‑premises Active Directory, including users, groups, OUs, GPOs, DNS, trusts and Windows Server issues.
• Support hybrid directory synchronization using Microsoft Entra ID Connect, Azure AD Connect or Cloud Sync, handling sync health, attribute issues and provisioning.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID components, MFA, Conditional Access, enterprise applications and access troubleshooting.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, licensing, mailboxes and service health.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of user administration, mailbox tasks, license management and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CIS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• ITIL Foundations and Microsoft 365 product certifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with limited direction.

Required skills

• On‑premises Active Directory administration (GPOs, DNS, trusts).
• Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD administration in hybrid environments.
• Hybrid directory synchronization (Entra ID Connect, Azure AD Connect, Cloud Sync).
• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Microsoft security and compliance tools (MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, Purview, Defender).
• Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• ITSM experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing platform.
