Mid-level Quality Engineer (CQE) – Automotive

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Quality Engineer to act as the primary quality liaison for our automotive customers. The role involves handling complaints, driving root‑cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main customer quality contact, receiving, processing, and closing all complaints.
• Lead 8D problem‑solving activities for customer and internal quality issues.
• Prepare for and support customer visits, audits, and IATF 16949 system audits.
• Monitor customer scorecards (PPM, quality ratings) and drive internal improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement quality control plans and systems for new products.
• Participate in APQP, ensuring PFMEA and control plans are up‑to‑date.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to address quality issues and close corrective actions.
• Engage in continuous improvement and cost‑reduction projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of quality management experience in the automotive parts industry.
• Direct experience working with automotive OEM customers.
• Fluent English with the ability to produce technical 8D reports.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Loznica, Serbia.

Required skills

• IATF 16949 compliance.
• Automotive Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA.
• 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone problem‑solving techniques.
• Metal and plastics manufacturing knowledge.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification.
