Officer Sourcing – Direct Purchasing

About the role

The Officer Sourcing acts as the bridge between the engineering competence centre and the supply‑chain sourcing team. You will ensure that directly purchased materials meet engineering specifications and support smooth production start‑ups.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the pre‑contractual phase with suppliers to guarantee a seamless production launch.
• Select and assess suppliers based on technical capabilities, quality, delivery times and operational needs.
• Monitor market trends, identify new sourcing opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Suggest procedural improvements and assist senior purchasing managers in strategy implementation for specific product groups.
• Collaborate with engineering to understand material specifications, quality requirements and procurement timelines.
• Negotiate contract terms, including delivery schedules, quantities and tool agreements.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Economics with a strong purchasing focus.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a similar sourcing or purchasing role.
• Experience in contract and price negotiation.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Personal integrity, responsibility and compliance with company regulations.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP (or similar ERP) knowledge.
