Process Engineer (all genders)

About the role

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join MTU Maintenance Serbia in Nova Pazova. The role focuses on creating, maintaining and continuously improving work documentation and process flows for aircraft propulsion system repairs, ensuring efficiency and compliance across the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Create, release and update work documentation (work plans, operation sheets, process standards) aligned with approved repair schemes.
• Incorporate rework steps, variants and alternative operations to maintain flexibility.
• Design and optimise routing and operation sequences to reduce lead time and improve part flow.
• Lead work‑planning activities for new part industrialisation, including tooling and fixture specification.
• Act as primary engineering contact for shop‑floor technical issues related to process execution, tooling or documentation.
• Monitor process performance indicators (scrap, rework, first‑pass yield) and trigger corrective actions.
• Support First Article Inspection and process try‑outs, adapting work plans based on results.
• Perform deviation analyses, implement corrective and preventive actions and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Prepare NC programmes in compliance with regulations and provide technical input for tooling and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with ergonomic, production, business and aviation regulations and support audits.

Required profile

• Professional experience in process engineering within aerospace, aviation or related high‑tech manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate industrialisation feasibility and business cases.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with shop floor, maintenance and operations teams.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and quality management.
