Procurement Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Lead to own and build the end‑to‑end procurement function for Birdseye’s AI‑driven security solutions. You will design the intake process, approval thresholds, contract repository and vendor governance model, linking every dollar of third‑party spend to the P&L.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the full procurement lifecycle from ground up, including policies, delegation of authority and approval matrices.
• Maintain a central contract repository and ensure timely renewals and compliance.
• Develop and extend a low‑code vendor management application, integrating invoice and usage data via APIs.
• Provide analytics that tie third‑party spend to financial results and drive measurable cost savings.
• Negotiate contracts, own the results and validate savings with Finance.

Required profile

• Proven experience building a procurement function rather than merely operating within an existing one.
• Strong negotiation skills and a track record of delivering cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ability to define policies, governance models and work autonomously without relying on engineering capacity.

Required skills

• API integration for pulling invoice and usage data.
• Low‑code / AI‑assisted development platforms.
• Data analytics to quantify savings and cost avoidance.
