Procurement Lead

About the role

Birdseye is building a procurement function from the ground up for its AI‑driven security business. You will own the end‑to‑end buying process, design policies, and drive cost‑saving initiatives that are validated by Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all buy‑side spend across four operating entities, covering hardware, software, services, logistics and more.
• Own the full contract lifecycle, maintain the contract repository and renewal calendar.
• Develop and enforce procurement policy, intake process and delegation of authority matrix for CFO approval.
• Maintain vendor qualification, segmentation, scorecards and regional coverage.
• Provide spend visibility in NetSuite, mapping every vendor and contract to GL accounts, cost centres and margin lines.

Required profile

• 7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing or commercial contract management.
• Proven experience building or materially rebuilding a procurement function.
• Direct negotiation experience across indirect and technical spend with ownership of outcomes.
• Ability to draft and redline contracts independently, identifying material risk without routine legal support.
• Financial fluency across P&L, gross margin and unit economics.
