Program Manager - Biotech

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. As a Program Manager at ICON Biotech, you will lead and manage complex projects and programs across departments, delivering them on time, within scope and within budget. The role sits within ICON Biotech and the company is particularly interested in applicants with experience in respiratory, ophthalmology or immunology therapy areas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site resourcing and workforce planning workstreams so that deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of complex programs, aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including project managers, technical leads and other stakeholders.
• Develop and manage program plans, timelines, budgets and resources, monitoring progress and addressing issues.
• Communicate program status, risks and issues to stakeholders with regular updates.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to improve efficiency, quality and outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering or a related field.
• Solid site resourcing and workforce planning experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
• Extensive program management experience with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills in a matrix environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

Required skills

• A PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Project management tools and methodologies, with experience in risk management, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
