Program Manager

About the role

SmartCat designs, builds, and delivers software for clients across Europe and the US. As a Program Manager you will be the central point that aligns multiple vendors, tracks progress, and ensures releases are ready for production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a single view of all initiatives across vendors, surface dependencies, and drive early communication to avoid problems.
• Run regular priority discussions with client stakeholders, delivery managers, and vendor leads, presenting factual status and facilitating decision‑making.
• Translate agreed priorities into milestone‑driven plans, maintain a live risk register, and ensure capacity conflicts are resolved.
• Own the release calendar, define release readiness criteria, and conduct go/no‑go decisions.
• Coordinate incident response, keep stakeholders informed, and drive post‑mortems.

Required profile

• 5+ years in program, technical program, or delivery management, handling multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Proven experience coordinating delivery across several teams and companies, and presenting to senior executives.
• Strong understanding of software production processes, including branching, CI/CD, environments, feature flags, rollbacks, and hot‑fixes.
• Hands‑on experience with incident escalation, risk management, and production release ownership.
