Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

Sinterfuse is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality function at its automotive‑grade manufacturing site in Užice, Serbia. This hands‑on leadership position reports functionally to the Global Chief Quality Officer and administratively to the Site Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete quality function, including QMS documentation, quality engineering, final inspection, sorting and repair, bimetal strip quality control, the quality lab, and calibration.
• Maintain and continuously improve the site’s IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 management systems.
• Exercise authority to stop production or shipment, place material on hold, and reject non‑conforming product, with the ability to escalate issues independently.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, SPC, and MSA practices across the site.
• Act as a qualified internal auditor, building internal audit capability and representing quality to customers, suppliers, and global HQ.
• Travel periodically to the Israel headquarters and to customer or supplier sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive quality experience in automotive or a similarly controlled industrial environment, including at least 3 years in a quality‑management or team‑leadership role.
• Fluent in English and professional‑level Serbian.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, SPC, and MSA.
• Qualified internal QMS auditor; IATF lead‑auditor or VDA 6.3 certification preferred.
• CQE or CMQ‑OE certification is an advantage.
