Quality Engineer

About the role

United Alloy-Tech Europe (UATE) is seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to support quality planning and new product introduction within its automotive parts manufacturing operations in Šabac, Serbia. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure that new products and processes meet stringent quality requirements and are successfully launched into mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Support quality planning during new product development and mass‑production launch.
• Identify customer quality requirements, assess product and process risks, and define special characteristics.
• Participate in product testing, validation, trial production, and MSA/SPC activities.
• Plan and validate inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Prepare, review, and submit PPAP documentation for new projects.
• Analyze quality issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead customer complaint analysis and produce 8D reports.
• Communicate with customers on quality matters and support customer audits.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Project, and other departments on project launches.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of automotive Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, PPAP).
• Understanding of IATF 16949 and basic automotive quality requirements.
• Familiarity with problem‑solving methods such as 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Experience in the automotive industry and/or aluminum die casting, CNC machining, or surface treatment is an advantage.
