Railway Systems Project Engineer – Belgrade

About the role

Deutsche Bahn Engineering & Consulting is seeking a Railway Systems Project Engineer to lead and coordinate Rolling Stock, Depot Work Equipment, Traction Power, Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and Track activities on the Belgrade Metro Line 1 project. The role is based on‑site and works closely with the Project Manager and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and end‑to‑end functionality of all metro systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Chief Systems Engineer as the on‑site project engineer for end‑to‑end railway system delivery.
• Review and manage contractor works and deliverables for Rolling Stock, Depot Equipment, Traction Power, PSD and Track, coordinating acceptance activities with discipline experts.
• Ensure contractor outputs comply with local laws, regulations and international railway standards.
• Coordinate physical and functional integration of interfaces across all railway systems.
• Validate technical specifications against client requirements and standards.
• Monitor testing & commissioning activities and review RAMS documentation to confirm system readiness.
