R&D Director – Head of Product Development, Domestic Cold Water

About the role

We are seeking a people‑oriented R&D leader to shape the future of domestic cold‑water products. As the R&D Director and Head of Product Development, you will guide a team of around 50 engineers, developers and agile practitioners, setting strategic and technical direction while championing agile ways of working across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the strategic direction and technical accountability for the domestic cold‑water product portfolio, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, developers, technicians, technical product owners and scrum masters.
• Drive cultural transformation toward high performance and scale agile practices across the organization.
• Manage budgets for all cold‑water product development activities, balancing risk and reward.
• Collaborate with product management and cross‑functional stakeholders to implement strategies within the value stream.
• Contribute to the broader organization as a member of the Product Development Leadership team and the Divisional Extended Leadership team.

Required profile

• Seasoned R&D leader with a proven track record of developing people and delivering results.
• Strong grasp of agile product development and change‑management practices.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience leading multicultural, cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
