Regional Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Regional Cloud Engineer to join our Europe IT team and the IT team located in Nis, Serbia. In this role you will design, implement and maintain Johnson Electric’s cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform.
• Automate cloud operations and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Monitor and optimise performance, cost and security of Azure resources.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support cloud migration and modernisation projects.
• Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with organisational and industry standards for cloud security and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity (Azure AD), storage and compute services.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with PowerShell, Azure CLI and Python.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Security Center.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Solutions Architect.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and hypervisors (ESX, Hyper‑V, Proxmox).
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Experience migrating on‑premises workloads to Azure.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
• Experience with hybrid cloud, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes on AKS) and governance frameworks (Azure Policy, Blueprints) is a plus.
