SAP Basis Administrator

About the role

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to provide L2 operational support for SAP ABAP and Java landscapes across development, test, training, and production environments. The role operates within a 24x7, three‑shift model and requires strong analytical, communication, and incident‑resolution skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for SAP ABAP and Java systems, monitoring availability, stability, and performance.
• Manage SAP Change and Transport System, ensuring consistent promotion of objects across environments.
• Perform end‑to‑end SAP Basis administration, including transport management, job scheduling, printer administration, and client copies.
• Plan and execute SAP upgrades, support‑package implementations, kernel upgrades, and other lifecycle activities.
• Administer SAP Web Dispatcher, SSL, Single Sign‑On, and certificate management.
• Administer and maintain SAP HANA databases: installation, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Handle incident, problem, change, and release management processes using ServiceNow and SPC.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (infrastructure, security, application) to design reliable SAP and database solutions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in SAP Basis administration and operational support.
• Practical experience with both SAP ABAP and SAP Java environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP system monitoring, transport management, and client copy procedures.
• Experience with SAP HANA administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 rotating three‑shift schedule and communicate effectively with customers.
