SAP Basis Architect

About the role

We are looking for a SAP Basis System Architect to lead the design, transformation and operational excellence of our SAP landscapes. The role will shape scalable, secure and cloud‑ready SAP platform architectures that support S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager and hybrid cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define SAP platform architecture standards, governance and sizing strategies.
• Design S/4HANA landscapes for on‑premise, private and public cloud deployments.
• Lead RISE with SAP and cloud transformation programs, including Azure, AWS and GCP hyperscaler deployments.
• Architect high‑availability, disaster‑recovery and performance engineering solutions.
• Establish monitoring and observability standards using SAP Cloud ALM.
• Drive automation for system provisioning, operations and transport management.
• Provide technical leadership during upgrades, migrations and conversions.
• Support SAP Basis modernization and Clean Core compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, SAP NetWeaver and S/4HANA architecture.
• Experience with SAP HANA database, Landscape Management and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager, SAP Focused Run and SAP BTP administration.
• Hands‑on experience with RISE with SAP, SAP Private Cloud Edition and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Understanding of SAP Identity Management, IAS/IPS, SSO, SNC, TLS, certificates and authorization concepts.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
