Senior Accountant

About the role

Devtech is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead bookkeeping, cost‑center accounting and group‑level financial reporting for its international operations. The role will ensure accurate month‑end close, tax compliance and fixed‑asset management while working closely with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Record bookkeeping entries and maintain accurate cost‑center accounting at group level.
• Supervise and review the work of junior accounting staff.
• Produce monthly Group P/L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements and support weekly cash‑flow forecasting.
• Manage periodic closing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including accruals, deferrals, A/R and A/P reconciliations, FX valuation, depreciation, VAT settlement and group consolidation.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, control the purchasing process according to Capex procedures, post asset changes and maintain the asset register.
• Take ownership of tax compliance for corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and other local taxes.
• Participate in projects focused on process automation, continuous improvement and finance optimisation.
• Maintain relationships with external service providers, tax consultants, banks, customers, vendors and auditors.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics or Finance; ACCA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within an international company.
• 2+ years of experience in group accounting.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical mindset, reliability and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation.
• Familiarity with UK/US GAAP (considered a plus).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
