Senior Data Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer at Nordeus you will design and implement large‑scale data pipelines that handle billions of events daily, structuring petabytes of data to enable data‑driven decisions across game teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Airflow, Kafka, BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform to process billions of events each day.
• Design and develop a self‑service Data Warehouse and BI platform for game teams.
• Create ML pipelines that support data scientists in building and deploying models.
• Implement a robust, scalable data lake and optimise data models for fast storage and retrieval.
• Manage secure ingestion of external data from partner networks.
• Continuously improve data quality, testing, and tooling, and optimise existing pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with Python, SQL, relational databases and custom ETL design.
• At least 4 years of experience with workflow orchestrators (e.g., Airflow) and data‑warehouse modeling.
