Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric & Azure

About the role

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver data solutions that empower finance, logistics, HR and other business functions. You will work end‑to‑end, from gathering requirements to building Power BI dashboards and supporting production releases, while guiding a small team of developers.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business needs into data requirements and technical designs.
• Develop and maintain data products on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse using SQL and PySpark.
• Design data models, database schemas and relationships.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Implement data quality checks and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Optimize queries and processing workflows for performance and scalability.
• Document data flows, architecture and engineering processes.
• Coordinate priorities, mentor colleagues and lead a small development team.

Required profile

• 5‑12 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure and Power BI.
• Practical experience with SQL, PySpark and Azure Synapse.
• Solid understanding of data modelling and data quality.
• Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders and guide developers.
• Excellent English communication skills.
