About the role
Better Collective is seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and maintenance of its high‑performance, secure cloud ecosystem. You will act as a technical anchor, driving infrastructure strategy and delivering engineering solutions that support the company’s sports‑focused digital products.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, secure, and scale AWS cloud environments.
- Provision infrastructure as code using Terraform and configure systems with Ansible.
- Deploy and operate containerized applications on Docker, AWS ECS, and AWS EKS (ArgoCD a plus).
- Build and debug serverless workloads with AWS Lambda and Cloudflare Workers.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Configure traffic routing, caching, and CDN services via Cloudflare and AWS CloudFront.
- Monitor infrastructure health and set up alerts with Checkmk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Manage networking components including VPCs, firewalls, and routing.
- Troubleshoot environment issues for Node.js, PHP, and WordPress applications.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or DevOps on complex AWS setups.
- Practical understanding of AI workflows and tools to support modern platform requirements.
- Strong operational mindset with a focus on business goals and eliminating infrastructure silos.
