About the role
The Senior Linux System Security Engineer will lead advanced patch and vulnerability management initiatives, ensuring the security of Linux and other platform environments across NCR Voyix.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and implement advanced Linux patch management strategies.
- Lead comprehensive vulnerability assessments and mitigation actions.
- Define and enforce security baselines and hardening for Linux, Windows, Android, iOS, and network devices.
- Provide training on cybersecurity best practices to internal teams.
- Develop and implement security solutions for new and existing systems and applications.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity roles with expertise in patch and vulnerability management.
- Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills.
Required skills
- Expert-level Linux systems administration.
- Python scripting.
- Experience with security tools such as Rapid7, Intune, CloudIQ, AirWatch/Workspace One, and Defender.
