Senior Open Source Engineer

About the role

Sysdig is seeking a Senior Open Source Engineer to lead development of its Falco and Sysdig open‑source projects. You will create new cloud‑security technology, contribute code, and help users adopt the tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features for Falco, Sysdig OSS, and related libraries.
• Become a contributor and potential maintainer of Sysdig’s open‑source projects.
• Assist users, resolve reported bugs, and ensure high‑quality releases.
• Automate release processes and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Engage with the community via Slack, GitHub, conferences (e.g., KubeCon), technical talks, and blog posts.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience in cloud‑native or security domains.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C/C++, Golang, and Rust.
• Experience with Linux, eBPF, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Track record of contributing to open‑source projects.
