About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Manager Global Logistics to lead end‑to‑end supply chain planning and inventory optimisation across our global network. In this strategic role you will drive standardisation and continuous improvement of planning processes, strengthen inventory performance, and support the effective use of SAP across production, inventory and logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and optimise global inventory management for raw materials, semi‑finished and finished goods.
- Develop inventory strategies that balance service levels, working capital and operational costs.
- Drive safety‑stock, inventory turnover, cycle‑counting and excess/obsolete inventory reduction initiatives.
- Implement and continuously improve the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) framework and maintain accurate PFEP data.
- Coordinate logistics planning for new product introductions, engineering changes and end‑of‑production activities.
- Standardise and improve global supply‑chain and production‑planning processes, including SAP MRP execution.
- Oversee master‑data accuracy in SAP MM and WM and resolve MRP‑related issues with IT.
- Monitor key supply‑chain KPIs such as DIO, forecast accuracy, premium freight and on‑time delivery.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field; master’s degree is a plus.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in supply‑chain planning, production planning, logistics or inventory management within a global environment.
- Proven experience in SAP implementation and optimisation, especially SAP MM, WM and MRP.
- Demonstrated success in improving inventory, cost, service level or planning performance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Excellent command of English; additional language is an advantage.
Required skills
- SAP MM, WM and MRP modules, master‑data governance.
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
- Power BI or Tableau (advantage).
- Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous‑improvement methodologies.
