Shop Drawings Engineer – Architectural Interiors

About the role

3lite is seeking a Shop Drawings Engineer to create detailed shop drawings for luxury interior projects such as hotel lobbies, spas, restaurants and residential amenities. The role involves translating design intent into precise construction documents for millwork, metalwork, glass, stone and cabinetry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D shop drawings, details and plans for a variety of interior elements, using AutoCAD and Rhino.
• Generate RFIs for unclear items, track drawing progress in logs, and manage submittal schedules.
• Create assembly and installation drawings to support fabrication and on‑site installation.
• Update drawings in response to design bulletins, client changes, and change orders.
• Develop dynamic blocks and detail libraries to improve team efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Forestry.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a portfolio of completed shop drawing sets.
• Strong teamwork spirit, good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Rhino for 3D modeling.
• Experience creating and using dynamic blocks.
