Site Activation Manager – Sponsor Facing (Global)

About the role

The Site Activation Manager will lead and manage the strategic, operational, and financial delivery of site activation activities for global studies. This remote position supports timely patient enrollment by overseeing site identification, regulatory submissions, and contracting in line with sponsor and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and project management for global or multi‑regional site activation.
• Lead start‑up delivery from pre‑award through activation, ensuring compliance with ICH‑GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and execute a Site Activation Management Plan aligned with study strategy.
• Collaborate with internal teams, regional units, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient study start‑up.
• Oversee regulatory submissions, approvals, contracts, and essential documentation.
• Assess regulatory landscapes and contribute to intelligence and strategy.
• Identify risks and propose practical solutions to support study delivery and bid processes.
• Maintain accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation in project systems.
• Support business development activities, including bid defense and client engagement.
• Mentor and coach team members and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical research experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven international project experience across multiple regions.
• Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
