Software Architect Technical Lead

About the role

The Software Architect Technical Lead will define and maintain the technical direction of complex software solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and client needs. While not a daily coding position, the role requires hands‑on technical insight to guide design decisions and support engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review, and evolve software and solution architectures.
• Define technical standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate architectural, performance, security, and scalability risks.
• Guide teams on complex technical decisions and implementation approaches.
• Review technical debt and prioritize improvements.
• Participate in project planning, estimations, and scope assessment.
• Support team leads and senior engineers in delivery and decision‑making.
• Improve development practices such as code reviews, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and deployment.
• Engage in client technical discussions, workshops, and escalations.
• Mentor engineers and help build internal technical expertise.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience with senior technical roles (Architect, Technical Lead, Team Lead).
• Proven experience delivering complex enterprise or distributed systems, preferably high‑availability, regulated, or business‑critical.
• Strong communication skills for leading technical discussions and providing constructive feedback.
• Ability to balance technical quality with delivery constraints and business objectives.
