Specialist, Maintenance Planning & Execution (EMEA)

About the role

This position develops, deploys and sustains maintenance planning and execution standards across EMEA plants for Ball, a leader in sustainable aluminium packaging. It works closely with plant engineering, regional maintenance leadership and global teams to improve equipment reliability, compliance and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead standardisation of maintenance planning and execution across the region, including annual plans, weekly routines and major event preparation.
• Support BOE Maintenance deployment, maintain progress visibility, coach sites on templates and criteria, and prepare regional scorecards.
• Standardise and improve CMMS/SFOL usage for procedures, orders, reporting and traceability.
• Coordinate breakdown review and root‑cause analysis, ensuring corrective actions and shared learning are implemented.
• Promote best maintenance practices, lean tools and engineered solutions to build a world‑class programme.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in process engineering, maintenance, process optimisation or spare‑parts management, preferably in can‑making industry.
• University degree in an engineering discipline or NVQ Level 6.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel roughly one week per month (potentially up to 2‑3 trips per month).
