Team Lead, Accounting Shared Services

About the role

Magna is seeking a Team Lead for its Accounting Shared Services to drive the Accounts Payable (AP) function within a global Shared Services Centre (SSC). You will lead a local team, ensure timely invoice processing, and support continuous improvement across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the AP team, coordinating daily tasks, performance management and development.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, credit notes and payment runs.
• Monitor and resolve invoice discrepancies, blocked invoices and vendor queries.
• Maintain vendor master data in collaboration with procurement and finance.
• Guarantee compliance with VAT regulations and internal controls.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to AP.
• Collaborate with sending entities and corporate stakeholders to harmonise AP processes.
• Document processes and transfer knowledge during transitions.
• Track KPIs such as invoice turnaround time and payment accuracy, ensuring SLA adherence.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Act as escalation point for complex AP issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance functions.
• At least 2–3 years of experience managing a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (S/4HANA or ECC), including self‑billing transaction tools.
