Tech Lead / Architect (Java)

About the role

We are modernising core business systems for a large US financial institution. The role focuses on migrating the client platform, building new features and ensuring cloud readiness. You will lead development teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Quickly onboard to the customer's processes.
• Develop new features in Java and Kotlin for Spring Boot micro‑services and maintain existing ones.
• Improve personalised search capabilities.
• Modernise data ingestion for faster searching and indexing.
• Ensure cloud readiness and integrate Azure APIM and Gateway.
• Collaborate with other teams and the client to find optimal solutions.
• Lead development teams.

Required profile

• Willingness to work until 8:00 pm CET.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Team Lead, Tech Lead or Architect.
• Minimum 5 years of enterprise backend system design experience.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java programming.
• Spring Boot and Gradle.
• Azure cloud services (including Azure AI Search).
• Elasticsearch and SQL databases.
• Microservice architecture patterns.
• Containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, PKS, OpenShift).
• PostgreSQL.
