AI-Native Software Developer

About the role

OnTheGoSystems is looking for an AI‑Native Software Developer who can take ideas from concept to production‑ready code. You will work remotely with a global team, using AI as an integral part of the development pipeline rather than a simple chatbot.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship end‑to‑end software features using Ruby on Rails or comparable back‑end frameworks.
• Build and maintain AI‑driven workflows, including validation checks and performance monitoring.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries and design robust database schemas.
• Continuously test your code, ensure high quality, and iterate based on production data.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to turn experimental ideas into evidence‑based improvements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building AI‑enabled systems with a demonstrable project.
• Strong ownership mindset and a habit of testing your own work.
• Passion for solving difficult technical problems and improving machine‑translation quality.

Required skills

• Ruby on Rails (or other back‑end languages/frameworks)
• SQL – schema design and complex query writing
• AI system integration and workflow automation
