DevOps Engineer – Hybrid (Novi Sad or Belgrade)

About the role

Synechron is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure for mission‑critical applications. The role is hybrid, allowing work from either Novi Sad or Belgrade while collaborating with global development, security, and architecture teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud environments on AWS or Azure using Terraform and best‑practice IaC principles.
• Develop, own, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
• Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters for internal platforms and client‑facing services.
• Create automation scripts in Bash and Python to enhance platform efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure, applications, and distributed systems across multiple environments.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for production incidents and drive remediation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud services.
• Contribute to long‑term cloud strategy and platform engineering improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
• Strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and cloud‑native architecture.
• Deep experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ownership of production services.
• Effective communication and teamwork in international, cross‑functional settings.
