Financial & Sustainability Auditor – Associate

About the role

PwC is seeking a Financial & Sustainability Auditor Associate to support leading European companies in meeting both financial and ESG reporting requirements. The role blends traditional audit work with sustainability assurance, offering exposure to a range of sectors such as technology, renewable energy, healthcare and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial and sustainability audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Develop expertise in sustainability frameworks, map dependencies and flag issues for clients.
• Integrate sustainability assurance into financial audit engagements and provide strategic recommendations.
• Assist non‑audit clients in designing templates, policies and controls for ESG reporting.
• Analyse sustainability metrics – carbon emissions, climate risks, safety incidents – and deliver actionable insights.
• Stay current with emerging sustainability research and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field (or final‑year studies).
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical and project‑management abilities.
• Adaptability to a fast‑changing regulatory environment and a willingness to learn continuously.
• Genuine interest in sustainability and ESG topics.
