Google Cloud Platform Architect (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Google Cloud Platform Architect to lead application modernization initiatives for an AI‑driven mainframe modernization practice. The role involves re‑architecting legacy COBOL systems into Java, Go or .NET solutions on GCP and communicating the business value to client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and lead the transformation of legacy and mainframe‑class applications into modern cloud platforms on GCP.
• Design data architecture solutions, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
• Engage with client stakeholders to understand and convey the criticality of legacy systems.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams within a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven track record in application modernization and re‑architecting legacy systems into Java, Go or .NET.
• Strong background in data architecture on GCP, including BigQuery and pipeline design.
• Consulting or professional services experience with client‑facing project delivery.
• Experience with AI engineering practices such as harness engineering or spec‑driven design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
