IT Procurement Specialist

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to join its globally distributed team. You will be responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle for IT and SaaS services, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, compliance, and optimal asset utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiation (SLAs, pricing) and vendor management for IT/SaaS solutions.
• Perform financial analysis, budgeting, OPEX/CAPEX management and plan‑vs‑actual reporting.
• Drive FinOps initiatives, optimizing cloud costs on AWS and GCP, including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cost allocation.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, invoice 3‑way matching and basic accounting compliance.
• Manage IT asset lifecycle, inventory tracking and hardware procurement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end IT procurement and vendor management.
• Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills, with experience in OPEX/CAPEX forecasting.
• Solid understanding of cloud cost structures (AWS/GCP) and FinOps best practices.
• Knowledge of AP workflows, 3‑way matching and basic accounting principles.
• Experience with IT asset management and hardware lifecycle tracking.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/Query) and proficiency with Jira, Confluence and an ERP system.
• Russian language proficiency C1+ and English B2.
