Junior Sustainability Manager

About the role

Join SMG’s Sustainability team in September 2026 and help drive the implementation of the company’s strategic roadmap. You will work with a group of dedicated professionals focused on data integrity, innovative communication, and fostering a strong sustainability culture across the SMG group.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate, analyse and consolidate sustainability and GHG data from multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the GHG Protocol and other reporting frameworks.
• Maintain the emissions inventory, track climate‑related KPIs and support decarbonisation initiatives.
• Document data sources, methodologies, assumptions and evidence for reporting and verification.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data issues, coordinate follow‑ups and monitor reporting timelines.
• Coordinate sustainability projects, tasks, timelines and resources to meet objectives.
• Support sustainability communications and internal engagement activities.
• Assist during peak reporting periods to prepare disclosures in line with applicable frameworks.
• Stay informed on sustainability trends, regulations and best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, business administration, sustainability management, environmental sciences or a related field.
• Exposure to corporate sustainability, climate‑related topics, ESG reporting and greenhouse gas accounting.
• Strong interest in sustainability and awareness of evolving ESG standards.

Required skills

• Understanding of the GHG Protocol and ESG reporting frameworks.
