Junior Water Engineer – Early Professionals Program (Western Balkans)

About the role

Join the Utility of the Future (UoF) Initiative as a Junior Water Engineer and support water and sanitation utilities across the Western Balkans. This early‑career position offers hands‑on experience in an international project led by SUEZ Consulting in partnership with the World Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and water specialists in the analysis of utility operations and performance.
• Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting for water and sanitation projects.
• Participate in capacity‑building workshops, training sessions, and knowledge‑transfer activities.
• Contribute to the development of digital tools and documentation for utility improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across six Western Balkan countries.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (≤2 years) in engineering, environmental sciences, public policy, IT/digitisation or a related field.
• Strong interest in water and sanitation sector development.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setting and travel within the Western Balkans as needed.
• Commitment to learning and to strengthening utilities in the region.
