Pedestrian Mapping Operator

About the role

As a Pedestrian Mapping Operator you will walk assigned routes while carrying a 22–23 kg backpack‑mounted camera system. The equipment automatically records images, video and geospatial data, providing high‑resolution street‑level mapping for our clients. This is a full‑time, field‑oriented position that requires physical stamina and a willingness to travel extensively.

Key responsibilities

• Capture high‑quality imagery, video and mapping data using the pedestrian‑mounted camera.
• Walk 10–12 km per day while safely transporting the equipment.
• Follow all safety, security and operational protocols on site.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues on the Android device.
• Prepare simple field reports and communicate any anomalies to the team.
• Escalate technical problems or safety concerns as required.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence.
• Physically fit to carry 22–23 kg equipment for a full workday.
• Available for a 40‑hour week (8 h × 5 days).
• Willingness to travel up to 75 % of the time and stay away from home when needed.
• Good English communication skills.
