Senior Accountant

About the role

Easygo, an Australian technology company behind global gaming brands, is expanding its Finance team in Serbia. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Belgrade office and take ownership of key accounting and statutory compliance activities for our Serbian entities.

Key responsibilities

• Month‑End Close: manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Group Reporting: prepare financial statements and reporting packs under IFRS for a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
• Statutory Compliance: handle Serbian statutory filings – annual financial statements, VAT returns, e‑invoicing via SEF, corporate income tax returns and withholding tax.
• Day‑to‑Day Operations: oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Authorities Liaison: communicate with tax, statistics and registration authorities.
• Intercompany: prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Audit & Advisors: act as main contact for external auditors, tax advisors and local authorities.
• ERP Ownership: maintain and optimise NetSuite and Pantheon ERP systems, including localisation for Serbian chart of accounts, VAT codes and SEF integration.
• Controls & Mentoring: strengthen internal controls, automate processes and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting or corporate finance experience; experience in IT, gaming or FinTech is a strong plus.
• Proven hands‑on expertise with Serbian accounting and tax legislation and statutory reporting.
