Senior Android/Linux BSP Software Engineer

About the role

Quectel Wireless Solutions is expanding its R&D centre in Belgrade and seeks a motivated Senior Android/Linux BSP Software Engineer. You will join a global IoT technology developer, working on driver development for a wide range of cellular and LPWA modules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Linux and Android drivers for common peripherals such as USB, SPI, I2C, UART, charger, LCD/TP, audio, and camera.
• Design, implement, and test device drivers for new hardware platforms.
• Produce clear documentation and user guides for all driver work.
• Analyse and resolve driver‑related issues on hardware devices, providing support to customers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and use test equipment like oscilloscopes and logical analysers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong experience in Android/Linux BSP development and Linux device‑driver debugging.
• Proven ability to work independently and proactively in a fast‑moving R&D environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Linux and Android BSP development
• C programming language
• Linux device driver development (LCD, Touch, Camera, Sensor, Charger, Audio)
• Knowledge of driver subsystems: Input, Power‑Supply, DRM, Framebuffer, ALSA
• Experience with peripheral interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, UART
• Use of testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and logical analysers
