Senior D365 Finance Consultant – IT Business Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior D365 Finance Consultant to own and drive finance‑related processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. You will act as a bridge between finance stakeholders and IT, ensuring functional solutions meet business needs across multiple European locations.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive Finance processes in D365 (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets).
• Gather, analyse and translate business requirements into functional designs.
• Configure and optimise D365 Finance modules following best practices.
• Lead international ERP projects – define scope, objectives, timelines and manage regional regulations.
• Lead internal IT project teams and coordinate with external partners.
• Serve as trusted advisor to Finance stakeholders, bridging business and IT.
• Coordinate with developers, partners and architects for solution delivery and integrations.
• Support UAT, training and go‑live activities.
• Provide 2nd‑level support and continuous improvement of the D365 Finance application.
• Ensure documentation, compliance and adherence to internal governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or IT.
• 3–5 years experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance / AX.
• Strong functional knowledge of finance modules (GL, AP, AR, budgeting, reporting, consolidation).
• Proven experience leading international ERP projects and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work in complex multi‑country environments.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
• Relevant certifications in project management and D365 Finance/SCM are a plus.
