Senior Software Engineer – Internal Mobile App

About the role

Rivian is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Rivian Internal Mobile App (RIMA) team. The role focuses on building a unified cross‑platform mobile application that supports Rivian’s commercial field teams in sales, delivery and service. You will work from Serbia, collaborating with internal product, design and backend groups to deliver high‑quality features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a scalable React Native application using React, TypeScript and Expo.
• Architect state management with Redux, Zustand or RxJS and create responsive UI with Tailwind and Nativewind.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, handling low‑connectivity scenarios.
• Lead end‑to‑end deployment processes for React Native releases.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise the app for speed and reliability.
• Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate in 2‑week Scrum sprints with backend engineers, product managers and designers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑level mobile solutions.
