SolidWorks Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a SolidWorks Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Belgrade, supporting the development of medical devices for West Pharmaceutical Services. The role involves creating and documenting mechanical designs using SolidWorks and collaborating with global product management groups.

Key responsibilities

• Follow mechanical engineering best practices and methodology.
• Work with R&D mechanical engineering to complete design tasks and align with project priorities.
• Contribute ideas during product ideation and development.
• Develop mechanical models for sub‑systems and system integration.
• Generate intellectual property related to mechanical design.
• Prepare SolidWorks drawings, models and project documentation.
• Support design feasibility, verification and validation activities, including test fixtures.
• Research and adopt new technologies and agile/lean development processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (post‑graduation in Design Engineering or Industrial Design is a plus).
• 3–5 years of experience in product design/development as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
