Associate Director, Accounting

About the role

Precision Medicine Group is seeking an Associate Director, Accounting to lead general ledger, treasury and accounts payable functions across multiple business units and legal entities. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with US and international GAAP, and support strategic initiatives such as system implementations and acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Own general ledger accounting processes, prepare complex journal entries, and review entries prepared by senior staff.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash‑flow forecasting, ACH/wire submissions, and cash management.
• Oversee accounts payable, approve invoices, and monitor vendor spend to improve cost management.
• Review and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts (payroll liabilities, ROU assets, fixed assets, intercompany, insurance, prepaids, etc.).
• Prepare corporate SGA budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for multiple departments.
• Develop and deliver training sessions, mentor staff, and maintain documentation on accounting policies and new GAAP standards.
• Support external and statutory audits, prepare audit schedules, and manage audit queries.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements and act as primary liaison with accounting and tax partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including management of multiple legal entities in EMEAA.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and international accounting standards.
• Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and drive process improvements.

Required skills

• Experience with computerized ledger systems (e.g., Infor).
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards.
