Transactions Monitoring Officer – AML & Sanctions

About the role

EXANTE is seeking a Transactions Monitoring Officer to join its compliance team. You will conduct daily transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and ongoing client due diligence, helping to preserve the integrity of the firm’s AML and sanctions framework. The role offers a hands‑on environment where you can influence the adoption of automated and AI‑assisted compliance tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day reviews of client transactions, manage alerts, and support ongoing Client Due Diligence (CDD).
• Conduct Source of Funds (SoF) and Source of Wealth (SoW) analyses and screen against EU/UK, OFAC, and UN sanctions regimes.
• Investigate potential risks, document findings, and escalate complex or high‑risk cases to senior team members.
• Identify manual bottlenecks and champion the implementation of automated and AI‑driven tools to reduce false positives.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulatory requirements (FATF, MiFID II, MAR) and apply them to investigative practice.
• Generate transaction monitoring metrics and assist with internal quality reviews and regulatory audit preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in AML, transaction monitoring, or related compliance functions.

Required skills

• AML transaction monitoring and sanctions screening.
• Source of Funds/Source of Wealth analysis.
• Knowledge of FATF, MiFID II, and MAR regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with automated or AI‑assisted compliance tools.
