Clinical Operations Manager – Clinical Administration

About the role

Join a leading CRO that supports the top 50 pharmaceutical companies and over 750 biotech firms worldwide. As a Clinical Operations Manager you will lead a team of clinical administration professionals, ensuring operational excellence across multiple studies and driving performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management of multiple clinical administration team members, providing coaching and development.
• Oversee resourcing, alignment, training and ongoing professional development for the assigned division.
• Develop, implement and maintain Working Practice Documents (WPDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze performance metrics, give feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate project‑specific training activities and mentor new staff.
• Act as escalation point for performance concerns and ensure compliance with PPD SOPs and WPDs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic/vocational qualification.
• Minimum 5 + years of clinical research experience across all study phases.
• At least 1 year of leadership responsibility.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial start‑up, interim monitoring and close‑out processes.

• Advanced knowledge of ICH GCP and applicable regulations.
